After steadily eating once a day since we got Baby, they have rejected food for the past two days. Yesterday I didn’t notice that the fly was still alive until I went to mist and clean out the dead body this morning and it jumped out the enclosure. I removed the fly then thought that maybe this fly was too good at hiding. I’m not sure if it’s just me reading too much into it but different flies seem to have different personalities.

A few hours later I put a different fly in with Baby and this time they pretty much walked past each other a few times. After a few hours I ended up removing this one too just to be safe.

After reading about moulting in jumping spiders I think that maybe they are in premoult? They are rejecting food, their hammock is a bit thicker and they seem to be spending more time in there. They were running around outside a little more today but they went back inside pretty early. We’ll have to watch how they do over the next few days but it’ll be exciting to have a bigger Baby.
